International hairstylist Vernon François has brought his passion and creative flair for hairdressing from his hometown of Huddersfield, Northern England to the global stage.

Discovering his ability at just 8 years old, Vernon began working weekends in a salon on Oxford Street at the age of 14, and by 17 he was named Black Beauty Magazine Newcomer of the Year. From there he went on to freelance in Paris, Oslo, Amsterdam and Prague. Vernon also assisted the world renowned Desmond Murray for three years.

Named among the Top 20 Influential Black People Under 40 of 2013, Vernon has over 14 years of salon experience which has allowed him to be a judge for the prestigious L'Oréal Colour Trophy as well as the Black Beauty Hair Awards.

One quote he lives by is from Maya Angelou: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, forget what you did, but people never forget how you made them feel."
